What People Are Saying About Buddy Fitzpatrick

I loved it! Buddy is super smart, insightful, and cares a lot about sharing knowledge and investing in our success. I especially enjoyed his fun exercises that we did in class, and his motivational speech in our last class on how to not fear bombing.
Please send more opportunities, students, and love Buddy’s way. He really lives up to his name despite being an amazing teacher.

I have taken Buddy's class twice thus far and really enjoyed my experience both times. Buddy is very supportive with helping comics find their voice and very encouraging in letting comics talk about subjects that are exciting to them. He is very open minded and tries to help find the funny in anything. Buddy does a great job at making everyone feel included and comfortable in the space, to both perform their material and be themselves.

I want to tell you how much I enjoyed Buddy Fitzpatrick's comedy writing class with Manhattan Comedy School. Buddy is extremely talented at bringing out the inner you and the message you would like to convey in your comedy. His encouragement and guidance taught me how to work and rework my material until it was solid. I recommend Buddy's class very highly.

Buddy’s comedy writing boot camp is extremely helpful, and I would definitely recommend it. He takes you through the comedy writing process and helped me write new material by really pushing me to explore all the places I could go with my premises. He gave great notes, and I came out of class feeling like I’d advanced as a comic. I’m glad I took this course as my next step after the beginner class.

Why Bootcamp is different in Buddy’s words…

In Comedy Boot Camp, we go beyond what beginner classes offer in terms of “premise and feedback” levels. Here, we delve into bringing your premises to Comedic Life by discovering the unlimited resources you have within yourself to distinguish you from other Comics.

Under the close personal mentorship of Buddy Fitzpatrick you will take your comedy writing to the next level, honing your craft and performance, and discovering your Point of View (POV) when approaching your material. Expand your premises by understanding techniques that allow you to go beyond simply presenting “bits” to fellow students and receiving “feedback”. Instead, you will be exposed to Writing Exercises that challenge you to have your material stand out, get noticed by Industry, Bookers and Clubs, as well as other Comics.

Homework consists of exercises assigned by Buddy to keep the writing muscles in tact and ever observant of the world around us!

Buddy has been personally asked to open for Joan Rivers, Joy Behar, Sussie Essman, Lewis Black, Brian Reagan, Bobby Slayton, Christopher Titus, and is a staple in the New York Comedy Club Scene. He performs in Clubs and Theaters across the country, including the Cruise Ship Circuit. Buddy has appeared in many Film and Television Roles, written Screenplays and has written and performed his own One Person Plays.
