While many of her contemporaries have stepped away from the spotlight, Alix Elias continues to do what she's always loved—performing. Her remarkable career has spanned Broadway, television, film, and stand-up comedy, and today she's adding an exciting new chapter: social media.


Alix has never been short on stories. From living with Cher in Los Angeles to sharing behind-the-scenes memories from her years as a regular on Married... with Children, she has decades of unforgettable experiences that audiences still love to hear.


Today, those same stories are reaching a new generation of fans. Instead of performing for a few hundred people in a theater, a single social media post can introduce Alix to thousands of people around the world.


What surprised her most wasn't creating videos—it was the analytics.


"I couldn't believe it," Alix says. "My biggest audience is men between the ages of 18 and 34, and people are watching my videos from all over the world."


The reach completely changed the way she thinks about performing.


"More people can see one of my social media posts than could ever see me perform on stage in an entire year," she says. "It's a whole new audience."


After taking Eric Hanson's Social Media for Creators class at Manhattan Comedy School, Alix says she finally understands how social media works and, more importantly, how to use it herself.


"For years I depended on other people to help me with social media," she says. "Now I'm learning how to create my own content and post it myself. I finally feel like I'm taking control instead of depending on someone else."


She's already planning to take the class again.


"I'm still working, and social media has helped keep me relevant as a working actress," Alix says. "The industry is changing, and I want to keep changing with it. It's a new medium, and I'm excited to be part of it."


Alix is living proof that it's never too late to embrace something new, discover a whole new audience, and thrive in the digital world.
